SwiftBill generates invoices following published ZATCA Phase 1 QR code specifications for Saudi Arabia and UAE FTA formatting guidelines. However, SwiftBill is not officially approved or certified by ZATCA or FTA — requirements may change and invoices may need verification. Always consult your tax advisor. Multi-currency support covers 22 currencies with VAT and custom tax rate calculations.

We are excited to announce SwiftBill v1.2, our biggest update yet. This release brings major improvements to document flexibility, regional tax compliance, and invoice customization. Here is everything that is new.

15 Document Variants

SwiftBill now supports 15 professionally designed PDF templates. Each template is carefully crafted for clarity and visual impact, covering a range of styles from clean and minimal to bold and corporate.

The new templates include Corporate, Freelancer, Commercial, Executive, Navy, Fresh, Refined, Contractor, Studio, and Hourly — joining the original five (Classic, Minimal, Modern, Bold, and Elegant). Every template works across all document types: invoices, receipts, estimates, contracts, and credit notes.

ZATCA QR Code Generation

For our users in Saudi Arabia, SwiftBill now generates ZATCA Phase 1 compliant QR codes automatically. Each QR code contains the required seller name, VAT number, timestamp, total, and VAT amount — all encoded in the mandated TLV (Tag-Length-Value) format.

No manual configuration is needed. Just fill in your tax registration number in your business profile, and SwiftBill handles the rest. Arabic and bilingual invoice formats are fully supported.

UAE FTA Invoice Format

We have added support for the United Arab Emirates Federal Tax Authority invoice format. This includes proper TRN (Tax Registration Number) display, VAT breakdown sections, and both English and Arabic document variants. If you are doing business in the UAE, your invoices now meet FTA requirements out of the box.

Customizable Invoice Number Format

You can now configure your invoice numbering format to match your business needs. Choose your prefix, set the starting number, and SwiftBill will auto-increment from there. This works independently for each document type, so your invoices, receipts, and estimates each have their own sequence.
